Don was an excellent QB Coach and understood the proper mechanics better than anyone I ever coached with. He had a keen eye for talent identifying strengths and key players with ease. Always positive and supportive of his friends and co-coaches he was a mentor to a very young staff at Culver City High School and an integral part of re-building a program that fell apart in the late 80's and then resurrected several years later, due in part to Don's influence. He is sorely missed.
